Yes. My daughter heard from one of her three schools this afternoon. The ROO emailed her and offered congratulations that she had been awarded a 4-year scholarship to all three of her schools! The formal packet will arrive by mail after February 2nd. She’s so excited and we’re very proud of her. She’s still waiting for acceptance to one of the schools, and hope that happens before she has to decide where to commit the scholarship. Wishing all the other applicants best of luck!

As of this evening, it is “Boarded”.

sounds like my DD was passed over again this board.. she’s still showing boarded/ UC.
She has been told by several ROO’s that her application is very competitive but it sure doesn’t seem like it at this point. Working on Plan B and trying to keep her spirits up and not let frustration sink in.

I would give it a few more days before you completely rule out she was passed up again. This is one ROO and I don’t even think they are allowed to tell you that you won before the portal does so just be patient for the next few days.

I agree with Mr Nice Guy. This is just one ROO and according to one of the other streams, ROOs aren’t supposed to be informing winners before the portal updates; we just happened to experience one that circumvented the process. We believe he did so, because we’re visiting that particular school this weekend. I’d trust what several ROOs told your daughter, that she’s “very competitive”. Keep the faith.

Did he say that this afternoon or was that outdated info from days earlier? Also people’s statuses are changing from b/uc to boarded and when that starts happening results come out within the next 2-3 days based off of threads from previous boards

Yesterday he said: We don’t know winners yet.

We all want you, you are all highly qualified and would do well at our schools. Me and My PMS would all love for you to come check out Clarkson and the Golden Knight Battalion and Clarkson pays for room and board. Will I send a letter out to all 14000+ applicants...not a chance. But some programs do.

I wouldn't' get too worried either way at this point. I don't think B/UC means you didn't get it. A poster stated a few days ago on one of the threads that his son won a 4-year and his portal still said B/UC when they moved him into college in August. It is not time to form an opinion either way about winning this round, I don't think.

I’m not sure if I’d describe our situation as “odd”, but perhaps “unique”. If you look at one of Clarkson’s posts, he indicates that the ROOs do get a list of the winners before the portal is updated. This gives the ROOs an opportunity to preview it. The Clarkson ROO goes on to say that they are not supposed to pre-emptively contact Scholarship winners BUT some of the ROOs do so. As I mentioned above, my daughter is in an unusual situation because we are visiting this particular school tomorrow. The original question on this thread was “Has anyone been notified?” My daughter has been notified.

Care to share which ROO can’t follow directions???

I was traveling yesterday and didn’t get a chance to tell you all that results are expected to be released by Friday if all goes as planned. Hopefully the vast majority of programs will abide by the rules and some of you will be hearing from your schools on Friday or this weekend. The applicants on Clarkson’s list will be contacted via email...winners on Friday...not selected probably Monday, and the ones that haven’t completed their file I’ll try to motivate on Tuesday. That’s how I do it. You may get a phone call from a ROO or PMS...You just see your status change on Friday and not hear from anyone.

Good luck to all of you, but don’t panic if your status doesn’t change on Friday. You may still get a third round offer, you may still get a campus based offer, and there are still many paths to becoming an Army Officer if that’s your goal.

Clarkson is correct. Schools were instructed to wait on notifying. That ROO is jumping the gun
