Good Morning! I received an appointment offer(and accepted) from West Point roughly a month and a half ago. Applying for West Point was time consuming, confusing, and intimidating. I relied on the assistance of my Field Force Representative, Mr.Mullen, and the people from this forum to go through the application process. I am forever grateful to all of the people that helped me and I now want to help others as well.

With all these factors in mind, feel free to ask me questions concerning the application process.

I have a question on the process of CFA. I know that you need to record your pushups and pull ups, but how does the rest of the assessment go? How do they determine the amount of rest you get if you don't record anything besides the 2 exercises?

Also, where do I get access to SOE forms and candidate statement prompts?
 
For the CFA, you need to be honorable and take only the amount of rest allowed. It’s all very clearly presented in the instructions, and your proctor will be able to time it.

Other things you mentioned are in the portal.

When your SSK opens, you may make requests to send the SOEs and write your candidate statements.

This is why WP has the test administered only by specific individuals ie. PE teacher as noted in your portal.
It is both yours and the administrator’s honor that the CFA is taken and recorded accurately. The recording of the two exercises has in recent years been an added element of the CFA so WP can verify proper form .

If one has to cheat on the CFA to pass in hopes to get an appointment, how will they do physically once at the Academy?
Then there’s that thing called Honor…it gets mentioned occasionally at WP.
