How will sequestration effect ROTC?

Did I forget to mention the USMC Drill Instructors who were in charge of the whole thing?

Ouch

So I'm guessing there were no cake, cookies, and punch?

There might have been some at the cookout, which actually was carefully planned to produce the bonding that it did.

I may have been joking about this a bit but...both my son's have said they wish their orientation had been a little more like the NROTC, though they did have good cookies.

My younger son's orientation was a two hour presentation on all things ROTC, slide show, cake, cookies, and punch. APFT was the next morning and contracting ceremony that afternoon. The parents were asked to be at the orientation presentation as well. I guess every Battalion could be different
The PSU Bn is practically the same - guessing you DS's move in was the first day too.
