Humor for my Navy and Marine friends

I wonder if they still have to do it this way over New Jersey?
Ha, they probably do. Two of my daughter's college friends were from Jersey and their families came down for a grad party at the house they shared for three years. They made the drive down OK but they spent a lot of time whining about a lot of stuff including having to pump their own gas to get back home.

Yes they do it this way here. for many years, it was cheaper to buy gas in NJ than in the surrounding states even with the additional cost to pay the workers but the state fixed that by raising the gas tax so now we're similar in cost to most of the rest of the east coast (even WITH getting the gas pumped).

I've been buying 88 octane at Sheetz for two years. It's a quarter to 30 cents cheaper than 87. People must think it's some weird alternative fuel.

As for the lower fuel efficiency, I still get milage better than what the vehicle is rated for and it's 8 years old.

I am a fan of a particular store brand of tater tots. The 32 ounce bag is $4.99 and I always buy 2 bags.
Why not just one 64 ounce bag, you may ask? Because the 64 ounce bag is $11.99. Crazy!

I'm not a math major but . . .

True story:
I once was at the grocery store and was buying four (4) 1/2 gallons of milk which were on sale for $1.00 each. The gallons were $3.49 each so it was a good deal. I had just put them in my cart, when this gal reaches in and gets the same stuff in gallons. She too, chooses 2 gallons.

I say to her: "You know, if you buy 1/2 gallons, they're on sale for a dollar each."

She says to me, "Yes - I know - but we drink a lot of milk at our house, so we need the gallons".

So I looked at my 2 gallons for $4.00 and her 2 gallons for $7.00 and said to her: "Yeah, that makes sense".

The last time I checked the US is 36th in the world in math scores.

5 out of 4 people have trouble with math.

47 percent of online statistics are made up on the spot.
