LEAD Program Appointment Thread (C/O '22/USAFAPS '19)

Hey to all the direct entry guys for 2019...are any of you interetead in making like a fb group chat or something like that? It might be nice to know one another before we head into the the next four years

I've heard nothing about reservists unfortunately. I understand that notifications of acceptance are sent via email followed by a change of status on the portal. My assumption is that TWEs are handled in the same manner.

Thanks for your reply. He hasn't received an email and his status is still candidate. He isn't eligible for prep school either, gettin' too old. My family was stationed at the Academy for 5 years....you guys/gals have quite an adventure ahead of you. My husband worked at the Prep school as an AMT. Congrats on your appointment, I was cheering for you as you were so supportive of everyone else!

His commander told him last night...Direct Appointment! Whew, glad the wait is over. He is currently deployed so we have a lot to look forward to.
 
Those of you who are interested in Parent's Weekend...Aug. 31st through Sept. 3 (Labor Day Weekend), motel rooms are almost gone! It is a pretty neat experience; tours, football game, tailgating. Rooms are running about $225 a night.
 
Does anyone know when there orders are going to get cut?

I am looking to start out processing my current base.
 
Anyone else from Langley get accepted? Looking to have someone to train with once or twice a week.
 
As of right now my vMPF has no orders for me. I'd say if orders don't drop by the middle of May then it might be time to start rattling some cages. I did however, receive USAFA's checklist. I have most of that complete save for a couple of items.
 
When I went through this process (though a few years back), orders came pretty late.

I accepted my offer in early March and still haven't gotten orders yet. I contacted my ALO a few times and this is what I got back at the end of last week:

"Cadet Personnel sends a request to AFPC to do PCS orders for [redacted] who is a Regular Airman. Please have him Contact Cadet Personnel at 719 333-1042 or 719 333-3244"

I'm going to call tomorrow to see if I can get the ball rolling.
 
Called Cadet Personel and they said that the list they get from admissions containing the names of the Enlisted Airmen Appointees was not yet supplied to them, therefore they cannot reach out to AFPC/MilPDS to update our assignments yet. They said they should get the list on Friday.
