I uploaded the signed letter of intent and acknowledgement to the "upload file" page on the ROTC website and it didn't show up as even a pending document. So, I uploaded it again thinking I timed out or mis-clicked and it didn't show up again. How do I know if it is uploaded or recieved?

Thanks!

For Army ROTC you should also have a phone number that you can call to talk to a "counselor" to confirm. Also, if you send it to the school, the ROO there can also assist you if nothing else works.

If I recall, my DD waited until the next day to check if what she uploaded was acknowledged and approved.

She had no problems at all with anything she uploaded to include ACT scores, PFA results, and memo accepting the scholarship.

She just gave the system some time (24 hours) to update.

It might be as simple as closing your browser and re-opening it or perhaps rebooting your computer. Web Apps can save information in the "session" which won't end until the browser is closed. You may simply be seeing the status as it was when you first logged on, because it's being saved in the session. This is true for all web apps. I would give this a try, or wait 24 hours if necessary, before making phone calls.

DS received 3 year AD AROTC Scholarship and we are wondering the process for accepting. Will he receive a letter in the mail or will something pop up on his portal? Nothing has changed for him other than the “Winner” box and the list of 3 schools for selection. My older guy just had to click a box on the USMA portal to accept. Thanks, I hope it’s not a stupid question.

You will get a BFE from rotc cadet command.

There will be a memo in the BFE where your DS will check off accept or decline. He will also have to annotate 1 of the 3 or 4 schools listed in the memo that he will designate the scholarship.

He can then upload the signed memo (a parent will have to co-sign) into the portal. I think there was an option to fax or snail mail too.

My DD uploaded into the portal the memo accepting the scholarship. It was acknowledged in the portal 24-48 hours later.

Thank you very much, I was beginning to worry since it’s been 7 days since he found out.

Too soon to worry. I’d worry if it doesn’t arrive by next week Thursday or Friday.

Sounds like you’re in an area where the USPS hasn’t suspended mail delivery due to the cold, so you’re correctly anticipating something to arrive soon.

We didn’t get mail yesterday and not supposed to get any today. Fortunately, DD got her ROTC BFE in late Oct 18 or else I might wonder if it’ll get lost in the mail backlog. [emoji4]
