LOA ---> Appointment

QUESTION OF THE DAY⏰

I have an LOA, so I was hoping somebody could answer this question for me:

Before you got your LOA, the place where would see it, it would read something like "Congratulations! Your application is under review". Then, some time later, you see the gold envelope and the LOA letter appear. Well today my LOA letter and gold envelope disappeared and the box where it was found went back to reading, "Congratulations! Your application is under review". I was just wondering if this happened to you as well, and then how much longer after that happened did it take for you receive your appointment. As you can imagine I am very anxious, so I am hoping you could put my mind at ease because you might've had the same thing happen to you. Thanks!
This means your appointment is coming. Same thing happened to me! Congratulations!

Love to hear that! Congratulations to you as well. How long was it like this before your appointment came through?
I've read reports from others who have indicated "a couple weeks", "a week", "five days", "a few days"- so, I am guessing that the actual time can vary.

My DS is in the same boat- he had his LOA, then all required items were rcvd by USNA, and then a couple days ago it changed back to "Congratulations! Your application is under review", so he is now patiently waiting for the next update.

I recently received an LOA and my required items are all received by usna. Still waiting for any sort of update though.

I am positive that the time line is VARIABLE in regards to the portal change from an LOA decision to "Congrats! Your application is under review" to a possible notification of appointment (in this case MOC call, not portal update), but for a n=1 (DS) it was about 1.5 days.

Your waiver review could certainly go past April 15th.
Are there instances of waivers coming out after I-Day, or could I expect a result by then? Also, would it be beneficial to submit additional information before the waiver comes out? For example, I had an AMI with the dermatologist who said I should be good but I still got DQ'ed, not sure if the AMI is considered before or after the DQ, or if another dermatologist saying the same thing would be redundant.

Never say never, but the intention is to have you there on I-Day/R-Day to begin the indoctrination process properly and complete it from beginning to end. So if you’re not fully cleared on Day 1, don’t expect to be able to start later. That’s not how it works.

For those of you who have received an LOA since the February 28, 2021 deadline, how many have/had a medical waiver as their required item to complete? It seems to me that very recent LOA recipients have an outstanding medical issue to be resolved. I understand the idea that if the USNA sees a candidate as competitive, they will initiate a waiver. I'm wondering if those candidates are also receiving LOA's. So, IOW, if a candidate is DQ, but USNA wants them, are they giving them LOAs as a means to "initiate" the waiver process?
