Praying for friends and family and the crew of the Bon Homme. My DD spent a week on board the Bon Homme during fleet week and the officers and enlisted crew were all very good to her.

4 aviation mishaps within 24 hours of each other. It's a tough week.

God bless them and their families. Sad day for Marine Corps Aviation and another tragic loss.

The CH-53E flown by the Marines and MH-53E version flown by the Navy have neither a good readiness nor safety record. My USNA classmate and flight school roommate was killed in one and another good friend survived a ditching at sea. If anyone remembers the old NAS Norfolk O’Club, the walls were full of memorial plaques to crew members killed in MH-53 accidents....
