NC nominations

Hi all,
I applied to my Congressman and the two NC senators. I wasn't nominated by Senator Tillis, and currently waiting on contact from Senator Burr, and my Congressman, David Rouzer. I was just wondering if this wait was normal for it be this long? Or should I make the contact and ask where I stand?
 
Burr historically will not contact the candidates that they will interview until late Dec.
 
I got denied by Tillis as well. Best of luck to you with Rouzer or Burr!
 
Hello again,
I emailed Senator Burr's office about an interview about a week ago. No one has responded, so should I call the office and talk the coordinator or just wait it out?
 
It doesn't hurt to call and ask when they will be informing folks about interviews. As a general rule of thumb in life, if you don't get a reply to the email then get on the phone. It's normal escalation process.
 
DD hasn't heard from Burr yet either and Tillis sent her a letter last month informing her she wouldn't be getting an interview. However she got the nomination from Congressman Butterfield this week.
 
DS has nomination in his portal Friday and a letter from Congressman Jones in mail today. Super excitement in our house today.
 
Still nothing on my portal or mail from my congressman. I contacted them and they said that he hasn't made a decision. Should I be worried?

DD didn't get a call or letter just saw the nom was received on her portal. Hang in there. With this being Christmas time a lot of people are taking time off.
 
Burr's representative emailed me and said that I am not getting interviewed. My last hope is my Congressman, which I am eagerly waiting to hear the verdict. I honestly want, and forcing myself, to be positive but not feeling good about it.

Sorry to hear that.

He only interviews 30 candidates for his nomination. Fortunately I received an email saying I will be one of those interviews. Hopefully it goes better than Tillis did!
 
I got an email saying I didn't get picked to interview with Burr as well! However, I have a nomination from both Tillis and my Congressman so I'm assuming they colluded somewhere.

May I respectfully suggest using "collaborated" or another neutral term, rather than "colluded," which connotes a harmful or illegal aspect? I am sure that's not what you meant.

Many elected representatives do a press release for their slates or eventual appointments...it wouldn't be that hard to work backwards.

Safe-guarding your online presence and personal "brand" will become a habit if you join the military.

Thank you! And yes that is absolutely what I meant, did not mean to imply any sort of disrespect or notion of illegality.
 
Has there been any precedent with Burr or another senator rescheduling the interview day because of inclement weather?

Good luck to all of you who are waiting for the Burr interview and nomination. I finally received one for West Point from my congressman. Now, let's see if West Point thinks I have what it takes to be part of their tradition.
