believe DD selected 1st Board

now that Bakslash has broken the ice I can state I have reason to believe DD was selected on 1st Board. No letter, no online notification yet.

just got brief email from District Officer giving us 'official' word - school choice to follow later today

You did get into OSU, right? With your resume, it should be a sure thing. My kid has that school on his short list too. He got the welcome aboard letter a while back.

Yes I did, now I just want to know for sure that's where I'm heading! So is he going there for sure?
 
Not if he's going to have to pay out-of-state tuition. It may be his first choice of schools, but Cal Poly SLO is the affordable school. I think the beaches, bikinis and warm sun will draw him to San Diego State. I can't say I blame him!
 
I live in the 8th recruiting district and found out I received the scholarship via a phone call from my RS's Executive Officer yesterday.

Is anything showing up on anyone's application status webpage? Mine still says at board for selection.
 
I'm pretty sure you should have received correspondence (email, phone call) from the recruiters you worked with by now if you were selected on the first board. At least, that's what my recruiters told me.

DS was a little late on this one. He's interviewing / pft'ing today. Congratulations USMC2018. The Marines is a life changing experience.

Got a call from my RS. I received a four year Marine option scholarship. I don't know what school it is to because I was so excited I forgot to ask. Thanks to everyone on this site; looking at you kinnem, Pima, and all the others. Y'all rock.
