Just thought that we needed a thread for the scholarship recipients like the one appointees to the academies have; screen name, option (Navy, USMC, Nurse), assigned school and major tier. Time to sit back and watch the list grow!

Save this! We were gonna make an all branches ROTC acceptance thread, so we can get all the AF and Army cadets some love, as well :thumb:
 
why does Seawings have to wait or change his forum to include A/F and Army? It would seem, to me, that folks can congregate by Branch for acceptance letters if they choose

and if someone were to create an umbrella thread for all ROTC offers that'd be fine too

I may have only posted a few times but I suspect my attendance at the "I" pre-dates even Stonewall's :)

OBTW, I agree let each branch do their own list. My take on it is, this list is not a bragging thread, but another way for posters to use this forum as a social connection prior to starting.

I.E. UMDCP has AROTC and AFROTC. Both dets are considered very large at a very large campus. The college also has NROTC, but they are not the host det.

UMDCP is like Duke, and not like VT when it comes to housing. Being able to see the list for NROTC only gives them the option to start connecting with others that will be in their yr group from areas they may not ever cross otherwise.

I also agree if someone wants to start a thread for everyone...go for it!

Just saying in the end of the day, and my 0.0197543 cents, lurkers and posters will look at it and contact others based on the branch or the school, but the thing is AF is not tied to the school when it comes to the scholarship. NROTC is tied, just like AROTC, but than again NROTC is like AFROTC where @85% go to STEM aka tech majors, and AROTC doesn't do that.

If the candidate is looking for guidance from an NROTC recipient, and they are AROTC, it probably will not assist them since the scholarships are awarded differently.

+1 to Pima. It wasn't in my intentions to make a "brag sheet" out of this or anything of the sort. I just figured each branch would make their own, just like each Academy and some SMC's do.
