Hi guys, I have seen quite a few threads about Pending and Complete Pending Review. Mine currently says Pending. I am a reapplicant but I cannot remember when my portal said this last year. Is there a big difference between the two? Is it better to have Complete Pending Review rather than Pending? Everything is turned in/complete, I just need a little clarification on the difference between the two. Thanks!

I have pending as well, and my AO said that my application is complete. Pretty sure it will continue to say 'pending' until a decision is made on you.

Ive seen other people comment about how their portal changed from "Pending" to "Complete-Pending Review" before the received an appointment. The way I could see it is, the admissions board is complete(so they validated everything and gave you your score) and theyre waiting on the Noms and appointments committee to review.

But no one really knows

This is my take as well

My son's case has been from Complete-Pending Review to Pending as soon as all things are green.
This is how DDs has been as well- went green after her medical waiver processes. She is a reapplicant this year, and was CPR for months and month prior to a TWE on 4/12/23. She has been “pending” for several weeks, has all the green checks, but was never CPR. We can’t figure it out what, if anything , it means?! 🤪

Yeah that’s exactly how it is for me… I applied last year and got rejected but I can’t remember when anything changed over 🤣

From what I gather they have changed how the system shows your package is complete this year. Last year my DD's said CPR until her decision (I honestly do not remember the date, you could probably look back in this forum to find that, but it was late in the game). This year, she has been pending. At first, we worried, but after seeing all of the posts on here... I think it is just the new way this year. As everyone else has said, I believe your status will change to CPR when they have made a decision, one way or the other. Best of luck. Being a college re-applicant is not easy, but shows determination and passion!

It is an enigma for sure. My DS original status was Complete Pending Review while waiting on waiver, he went to pending after everything was submitted, waiver was granted and has been in that status since 1/7/24.

hey hows it going everyone, I know this is a dead chat but my status changed from pending to CPR today even though my app has been done for some time now. Anyone see a patter yet for this cycle?

Would love to answer your question but my DS is in the same situation.

Pending until his 2 noms came in. Once the first nom came in (mid-December) portal changed to CPR.

I assume that his Senatorial nom (early Dec) went to someone else. I surmise Congressional nom (received around Christmas) might still be in play. If not, he is in the national pool.

I believe mine has said complete pending review since November. A nom is not in my portal yet but I got one and I need a medical waiver. The medical waiver process has not been started yet for me.

My son’s says complete pending review, he has 2 noms and waiting for a waiver but they have not requested anything.

@Capt MJ What are your thoughts on this theory?

I sent in the online application right after Thanksgiving, completed the BGO interview, and received a nomination shortly thereafter. It turned to CPR very shortly after I sent it in. Haven't sent in DoDMERB or the CFA yet. Does this mean anything?

I think for all applicants I would say the tea leaves say all are in the running until they are told otherwise.

Admissions is a live, working team. The results will come sometime between now and late April for most. Later for some. Sooner for others.

No one here knows why the status changes back and forth. It’s possible things are happening internally causing those changes. What matters is the final outcome, which most will know by April 15. The BGOs would tell everyone here to cease trying to read tea leaves…your brain power is better utilized on finishing out the last semester and on ECAs.

Mine changed to CPR end of September when everything but Nom hit and been that way since. Nom hit mid December and status hasn’t budged. So doesn’t seem to be any coordinating reasons to the portal change status other than they know the reason for it and we don’t. 😂
