Potentially great news before the holiday. Did you receive the one you'd hoped? Did you hear via phone, email or some other channel?

This just showed up in his USNA portal in the last hour. He has not been notified (no email or call) as of yet. It is another "Competitive" nomination, so he now has 2 shots on goal for USNA on 2 competitive slates (Casey is the other one).

I do not know. Again, this showed up in his USNA portal, so maybe USNA is quicker to post than the other academies?

DD received a call from Congresswoman Scanlon (PA-05) this morning awarding a USMMA nom.

My son got a call from Mike Kelly (PA-16) this morning for multiple academies! So far only USNA is showing though in his applications.

There have been a few posts that confirm Fetterman nom contacts have occurred. Some folks estimate only a small percentage of applicants know about this forum and post their good news so it stands to reason Fetterman is done.

What's the difference between a nomination and a competitive nomination. The nomination my DS received from his congressman states his name was submitted as a "competitive nominee" just wondering if there is a different kind of nominee?

Skim to page 5 at link below to read about how the MOC can choose to submit their slate of nominees.

I haven’t yet found the link to an updated version that includes the move from a max or 10 names to 15 on a slate, but the methods haven’t changed.

We assumed my son didn’t get a Fetterman nom as he didn’t get a call before Christmas when we started hearing others were getting them. He got an email this Friday that he got a nomination to USMMA from Fetterman.
