Permit to Report Class 2026

Company info apparently comes out in June a few weeks before I-day

Has anyone not gotten the email yet? I am hoping it’s just delayed for my DS and not an indication that they are still missing the Background check? He followed up to make sure it was rec’d but didn’t hear back which we took as good news.

I'd imagine, someone from admissions, is sitting there sipping their coffee, talking to a colleague.

"Hey, check this out. We said we'd send it out at 8 am, but let's see how much craziness goes on in the SAF if we don't send it on time."

All the while it's just the click of a button to send it out.

:)

Will the PTR email include our company information?
The sheer amount of work that goes into processing is now beginning to be revealed! The AC year is just finishing and my guess is that the company level decisions are next up on the radars for the Brigade command. Imagine the sorting process…30 companies, 15 platoons, splitting up geographic locations, siblings, teams, genders and whatever else factors in to assembling diverse platoons, companies and squads!! A giant Suduko puzzle! The excitement just keeps building!!! Expect the company information a week before IDay and be happy if its earlier!

Luckily they have done this many times and algorithms do a lot of the work. Funny enough, when we were shot gunned we had a brother shot gunned to his brother’s company. He was a firstie, so they left them both. Just ensured he wasn’t in the same chain of command or his brother’s room mates. It worked out fine. That same year, I had a 4/C in my squad who was the sister of my squad mate from Plebe Year. It’s a small world. It’s also why those about to start this journey need to learn to never speak ill of someone and always been professional. You never know who are speaking to or their connections.

On the upside though, I won't have to pack and haul a truckload of stuff on drop off day!
True. But over the next four years, your mid will have to haul their ever-growing treasure trove of USNA-issues uniforms, equipment and school items from room to room (or storage in between). It gets to be a lot of stuff and moves. DD the firstie has lived in eight different rooms, by my count. Her count might be higher.

Must be an integral part of the training. Learn to live light and pack up and roll fast.

Is anyone able to login to the ABS? Every time I input my ID and password it just takes me back to another site, which then takes me back to the original ABS site again.
What is ABS? I know it is not the breaks i fixed on his friend
Has anyone gotten the PTR email yet??
