Please Post something about Plebe Summer that is Positive

It usually is on or about the start of Block 3, if you look at the USNA calendar site. The retailers usually come in a few days early to settle in and start turnover. The calendar says Mon 23 July for Block 3. PS schedule will roughly align with that.

So the plebes wont know the actual date of the change...makes sense.

Do they actually have DETAILERS during the a/c year?
 
No, Plebe Summer detail/detailers is a summer training evolution. The return of the Brigade, Reform, is when every upperclass, especially those in company, has an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing professional and military development of plebes.

No. The second set of Detailers may arrive soon, if they haven't already. There will be a one to two day changeover process from 1st set to 2nd set in which the 2nd set will probably just observe. When the changeover happens, the 2nd set will (more than likely) hit the Plebes like a bus.
There will be new rates to memorize and new Detailers to impress. This 2nd set is coming off their summer cruises and are "fresh" and "energetic" and ready to build the Plebes into something that will be more than adequate to assimilate into the brigade when everyone comes back for reform, that week after PPW.

The Plebes may actually long for their 1st set Detailers, after they are gone. :)

The "retailers" should be allowed to exact a "tax" on days when Plebes get packages.

something tells me the Plebes difenately get taxed!lol
 
My DD has never been much of a shopper. She prefers buying things online. So are there any Plebe Summer Retailers who do their thing online rather than in your face? Might make Plebe Summer a bit more bearable.
 
When I used the term "retailers" it was just in response to CaptMJ's iPhone typo for "Detailers".
I was making a joke, there.

The Plebes can only buy stuff in the Mid Store until reform. They don't have access to a phone or a computer, (with which to buy stuff and have it delivered). They also don't have a P.O. box or active EMail address yet. They really aren't real "people" until the rest of the Brigade re-forms, and even then they are the lowest order of "people". It gets better, though. ;)

Still hoping someone will answer my question: Are there any Plebe Summer Retailers who’ll sell you stuff without making you drop or recite rates or constantly tell you to keep your eyes in the boat?
 
got a letter today, asking for pictures, gel deodorant, body wash, pens with push buttons and clips, magic erasers, swifter dusters.. he loves hi-chews because it's small and he can throw them into the mouth in a rush
 
Academic Reform. DD said that was fun from upper class perspective Hell Plebe year. Second year was a pass since upper class had newbies. Second year was like they were shadows and invisible.

For those of you wondering, Plebe Summer officially ends August 15 around 2000-ish. The Plebes belong to the Company Training Staff after that.

Hello night is actually in the evening on the 16th this year. They will belong to 2nd set till then.
