Report to DoDMERB that I went to a chiropractor?

Around middle July, I started going to a chiropractor to help with my posture, I am attending a military academy in a few weeks. I have notoriously bad posture (according to my mom) and by strengthening my back muscles with PT exercises, I have made my posture much better.

I went to MEPS in April, and have since found out I am qualified to join the Army (ROTC and NG 09R). Nothing changed between going to MEPS and seeing the chiropractor, and I could have just gone to the academy without doing anything.

Do I need to report this to the DoDMERB?

Has your medical condition changed? If yes, you should report it.

If you weren't diagnosed with anything by a DOCTOR then you do not need to report it. Just because your mom thinks you have bad posture it doesn't imply you have anything wrong that needs to be reported. Do NOT self-diagnose. If you have a posture problem the military will undoubtedly cure it for you.

You have to accurately answer all the questions on the DoDMERB forms. So if they ask if you have ever seen a chiropractor, then you must disclose that you have. But I agree that you should not self-diagnose a posture problem. (Is bad posture even a medical condition, or just a bad habit?)

As you know, of course, MEPS does not apply to ROTC, so you will have to go through DoDMERB as if MEPS never happened. But, they say the DoMERB physical is much easier than the MEPS physical.
