Retainers on I-Day

Hello, I’ll be starting Plebe Summer on Thursday with the class of 2022 and had a question specifically regarding dental retainers.

I got a permanent metal wire retainer put in behind my bottom front teeth after my braces were removed and I have a clear plastic retainer for the top teeth that I wear at night. There was nothing I could find about retainers in the orthodontic waiver letter and that sort of thing wasn’t included in my medical exam. Would they take away my clear retainer and remove my permanent retainer because I did not report it?

DD has a permanent top retainer that they did not remove. I would guess the night retainer shouldn't be a problem as you are only wearing it while sleeping.

Agree with above. Bring the retainer and the permanent one should be fine.

DD has a permanent top retainer that they did not remove. I would guess the night retainer shouldn't be a problem as you are only wearing it while sleeping.
