I’ve just received a 3 year AD scholarship from the Army. The Citadel is my top choice, they recently announced winners of 3 or 4 year scholarships receive tuition/ room and board for the missing gaps. Would anyone have any advice on who to contact? or just wait a few days and see, as I just won it last night.

Congratulations on the scholarship. Your message does not say whether you have already applied to the college and have received your provisional academic acceptance? If not call Admissions asap and find out what you need to do and mention your ROTC scholarship award.

Certainly connect with LTC Terese who is the Army ROO and let him know of your interest in The Citadel so he can let you know that the unit has enough slots to accept your scholarship in the detachment, Most years this is not an issue, but I would get this clarified.

However, if your questions relate to eligibility for either the first year tuition for incoming Fourth Class cadets with 3 year ROTC scholarships, and the Room & Board waiver, you need to contact the Financial Aid and Scholarship Office. These scholarships are issued by the college not the Department of the Army. I would call them ASAP. Let us know if you have any problems connecting to either LTC Terese or Financial Aid. The Director of Financial Aid is Lt.Col Fuller. His numbers are below:

Hi - follow up to your question on who to contact re your scholarship - The Citadel Admissions Office replied as follows:

“please have the accepted applicant call the Financial Aid Office at 843-953-5187. Once they send a copy/scan of their ROTC scholarship award letter to Financial Aid Office, the STC scholarship monies are immediately awarded and they will see the award on the Lesesne Gateway Student Portal.”
