SLE 2020 Acceptance?

Hi all,

I applied to SLE as soon as I could with all the technical difficulties (yay) and I’ve heard that some people have been accepted already. If you’ve been accepted this year, what did your application look like? On my CQ I’ve got a PSAT 1310, SAT 1220 (taken sophomore year so not the official official score yet), lettering in volleyball and playing club, and I filled up the 250 character limit on the accomplishments. I’m also a 4.0 U/W GPA student and 4.303 weighted.

I really want to be accepted to week 1! If you’ve been accepted already how do I compare?
 
My son received his acceptance email to SLE yesterday. He did not take the SAT. He got a 34 on his ACT, is #2 in his class of 350. Varsity soccer, track and cross country with lots of volunteering.
 
My DS was not accepted to SLE last year, but got an LOA to West Point based on the OVERALL strength of his profile. He is awaiting his official appointment after being fully qualified. Lesson here is if you don’t get into SLE don’t sweat it and keep plugging along.
 
If you do not get accepted to SLE, DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED! I was not, and so far I have received a 4-yr ROTC scholarship and I received a nomination so far. I have also talked to many people who either a) did not go to SLE and went to West Point or b) went to SLE and not West Point.
SLE decisions do not mean you will or will not receive an appointment.
 
I was accepted in the first round of selections and I only had a 28 act score, jrotc member and officer, and 1 year in track and cross country. 3.9 unweighted GPA.
 
I think the thread is about the stats of those accepted to SLE for Summer 2020, not whether acceptance at SLE increases your actual chances of admission to USMA or whether you attended SLE and ultimately were accepted to USMA.

When did he apply? My son applied last Friday.
 
I just logged in to the SLE portal and it says that my application is still pending. I finished the whole application though, anyone else have the pending status?

Yep, I got an email two days after I submitted it confirming my application. Mine still says pending too, don't worry.

It takes USMA a few days to process stuff...especially because they are probably spending a lot of their time on 2024 Apps.
