Still in the game

"Richard Channing Moore was born on August 21, 1762 in New York City. At the outset of the Revolutionary War the family removed from the city to the family estate called "Moore's Folly" on the Hudson River at West Point.

usslovelace you got it! Used to own the site that West Point now sits. It was finally purchased in 1790 through a resolution of congress.

Does my DS get any WCs points for that?

So nice to see you all back on the Forum in support of our friend Currey! I miss our crazy days of watching, waiting and stalking. DS graduates this Sunday and is very excited for what lies ahead at Catholic University. I think he is going to end up joining the ROTC battalion out of Georgetown, the Hoya Battalion. And life goes on...he has started the re-app process, but hasn't said much about it. Currey, if I was you I would take a page out of a French history book and storm the Bastille!:thumb:

Ahhh Georgetown. I have a female friend who is going to play D1 soccer for them. If I remember Prepswimmom, you live in MA, so that's a long distance away!!

so nice to see posts from all the old group! Missing you all and wish we were all together..my son heads to USMMA in July and it is coming so quickly..i need some hands to hold.

The waitlist is moving...

DS on the waitlist received his BFE.

Although he had already changed course to attend his A-3 option (UC Berkeley, School of Engineering, Nuclear Engineering), he is predictably changing back and accepting the offer of appointment.

Good luck to everyone...

Congratulations to WithYou2018's DS! I'm glad to hear someone has made it off the wait list this year. Which part of CA are you from, Northern or Southern or somewhere in between? :) Hoping for the others on the wait list to hear some good news!

Congrats WithYou2018! It is an awesome news. All the best to everyone. Мrs.m I am so happy for your DS. I hope you did not mind when I quoted you on page 207 a couple of weeks ago.

Yeah! So happy for you and YOUR DS. That is great news. Now Currey....nothing yet? Do you call daily? I would!

Yes we live in Massachusetts. It is not bad as there are many shuttles from Logan to DC. The fact that he is so excited make it easier. And in a zippy little twist of forum fate....he is rooming with Roseville's son! He transferred his ROTC scholarship to Catholic and our sons are now roommates. We are so happy for them both!

WithYou2018,

I'm so very happy USNA finally came through for your DS! Congratulations!

d22, I, too, am wondering about 808Dad and HappyinKC...

Oh, Currey. My goodness, this wait seems interminable. It IS interminable (well...let's hope not literally). But really.

Yes! :beer1:

Just a thought - how can they admit off the waitlist if they haven't even notified Currey's DS yet? No slight to those being accepted from it but somethings not right.

Currey's situation is in a class by itself! I cannot understand in any way a candidate who, at the middle of May, is still in limbo, having heard no status one way or the other!

Weren't these other WL cases those primary nominees? I can see where they would move those from the wait list first.

But for Currey to still be totally in the dark is as odd as it could possibly be.

Happy that there seems to be movement and I wish the best to all!
