Hello to all! I am extremely jubilant as by chance I decided to check the Summer Seminar Application Portal Page and I had been accepted! It was strange that I did not receive an email notification so I advice everyone to check:) It presents you an "I will be attending" and "will not be attending option." Under the "I will be accepting" option, you can choose Summer Session 1 or Summer Session 2. (SSI when I accepted had 50 spots left and SS2 had only 1) Remember to choose wisely taking into account your schedule as you cannot change when set. March 1 is when the official registration will be opened for SS once accepted. I am from South Texas and have not yet purchased airfare as I plan on waiting for the March 1st date so that I have all information on dates and times before I book.

About Me: I will be attending SS1 and then Falcon Swim Camp the following week.
I posted on Twitter with the Hashtag #AASummerSeminar and have messaged the Academy to promote the hashtags and social media interaction between seminar goers and the camp goers.
It'd be really cool if y'all did the same.

Now I'd like to hear from you all.(I guess parents are main audience in this site :p)

Hello! I too was accepted to USAFA Summer Seminar. I'm from Central Illinois. I'm really excited for this opportunity. My Civil Air Patrol squadron fully supports me too. I was surprised that the notifications came out sooner!

Emtet, where are you? What HS? My son is Buchanan HS and just accepted his Appointment to USNA. He went to SS at USNA last summer and fell in love. Good luck to you!

For travel arrangements, for those of you flying, is anyone going into Denver then head down to the Academy or directly to Colorado Springs? I am looking at flying into Denver from Chicago, then probably taking a taxi down to the Academy. Anyone have any recommendations?

That may be a rather expensive taxi ride. You're looking at approximately 60 miles. Any chance you can get to CSprings?

For what we read transportation will be provide for arrivals & departures to/from Colorado Springs, this is why will drive from Denver int airp., cheaper flights from this airport.
