Not to mention that UCLA has a gazillion freshman temptations like nearby Santa Monica beach, the Sunset Strip, Melrose Ave, etc etc.

It does. I spent a decent amount of time there since my brother attended UCLA. The Academy definitely has a lot less distractions.

It’s so good to hear from a plebe doing well. My DS sent me a message tonight. He had his first plebe show for his tutoring session. He said it was awesome. A cool opportunity that USNA provides to non plebes to tutor them in various subjects.

He said the plebe was a great kid, the world marches on and our kids keep doing their thing. It’s awesome.

USNA has an unmatched support system for Midshipmen. It really helps us Plebes adjust to the rigor of Academy life. But no matter the challenge, we will keep on pushing.
