The Everything Drawer - Everyone has one, right? (post anything - within the rules)

I overheard a conversation this past weekend in the gun store between a salesperson and a husband/wife couple who were both really happy paying for guns that they had wanted for some time, but couldn't own in a particular state with 55 electoral votes (from where they had recently moved). The salesperson simply said "Welcome to the United States". ;)
 
Only because there is a festive navy blue print called “Squid Row” (yes, there are squids) in a new collection for the gentlemen who prefer boxer briefs, I direct your internet attention to 2Under.

For those truly mystified, the fine folks of USMA often name the USNA Yard denizens as “squids.” Of course, there are reciprocal nicknames. Navy folk in general can be called squids. Terms of endearment within the service families are creative and endless.

And no, I am not posting an image of the item. Go have fun and look at all the prints.

I share those memories @kinnem. And who could forget making "collect" calls to let your parents know you were ok but they would not accept the charges as the message had been received! ;)
 
Remember getting a pre-paid phone card? Where you had to dial in all those numbers?? For when you traveled on vacation, or school or whatever?

Remember purchasing travelers checks??
