The Everything Drawer - Everyone has one, right? (post anything - within the rules)

What about Surigao Strait in WWII? If memory serves that was part of the large conflict called the Battle of Leyte Gulf and was the last time battleships engaged battleships.
That's absolutely correct. It almost had to happen that way given the Japanese approach through the narrow strait. You could say Jutland was the last in the Atlantic basin, or the last time the Royal Navy did it.

Last time Battleships engaged without air yes but about six to two with Japanese commanders knowing it was a suicide mission. Just like the Marianas Turkey Shoot the outcome was a foregone conclusion and part of a dying gasp not two major fleets engaging.

My grandmother would always give my brother and me chocolate cigarettes. They were wrapped in white paper and came in a flat plastic case with a clear lid that snapped open, so it didn’t look like an actual pack of cigarettes. Perhaps for that reason we never confused them with the real thing. I can understand why they’re no longer sold, but I remember them fondly.

We ALL know that the American Airman is a pretty distinctive type: brainiac, very close to insubordinate most of the time due to their inability to see black and white (there are 256 shades of gray...), and just an overall "bon vivant" attitude.

This story displays it well...

I felt something hit my thigh this morning and then everything was blurry in my right eye. It turns out that my right lens fell out of my readers and I didn't know it until my vision was blurry and I thought I had just experienced a stroke.

Chortling ensued.

It could be a sunny day in Colorado but cold?
Good thought and strengthens the design premise. On those sunny and cold days, the heat from the condenser keeps you from feeling cold when you exit the pool.

I know, I know, someone is going to ask if it's cold outside (despite the beautiful sunshine), why are we running the A/C in the first place? I haven't figured that part out yet as I'm still in awe of the simplicity of this home recreation project.
