The Everything Drawer - Everyone has one, right? (post anything - within the rules)

I was reading in another thread about the lack of P.E. class in school these days.

My single favorite day in P.E. class was by far the day that the teacher would haul out the parachute in the gym.
2nd favorite was the big cage ball. Bless you, Dr. Emmett Dunn Angell !

Those were the days.
 
My favorite was the fundraiser my kids' small Catholic grade school started doing when I was about 40. At the gala silent auction you just give athletic director Danny $50 and on a Saturday evening in the spring we get together for a night of beer, pizza, floor hockey, volleyball, bombardment and a modified softball game with ghost runners and a lot of trash talking. Some *serious* fun, plus if you get 30 guys together the money adds up quickly. I remember the first year they actually had the kindergarteners make us coasters for our beers.
 
I don’t know what it is about steel drum music that makes me want to put my feet up, enjoy a summer day and sip something icy, tart-sweet and adult. Just found this new from USNA D & B:

 
I got a SPAM EMail entitled "digestion issues" which started out with the words: “can’t poop...”

I unsubscribed and they answered with: "Sorry to see you go."

How appropriate!

I buy generic or house brand on all kinds of things. Ice cream quality is non-negotiable. My DH is a Philly native. Quality ice cream is mandatory.

Tillamook is $4 at Commissary. An affordable dinner on a hot July night.
 
I was thinking the $7.50/container at our local Safeway - forgot about Commissary! Was just ribbing you - the Apple “genius” came up to tell me I was going to have to buy new headphones and I hit send before adding my 🤣 emoji. Also, that is the only ice cream my wife will eat!

We don't have it at our small commissary. Actually, I think that its ice cream section is so small that your house might have more product on an average weekend.

I know you were kidding me, but others may not understand the rigor of ice cream standards at this house.

I am thrilled the big Ft. Meade Commissary is smart about its ice cream buys. They also have full array of Talenti gelato.
