I have been in the workforce for nearly 45 years, all in male dominated professions.
I have made my mark by being the best I can be despite or regardless of being female. I have the respect of male airmen to generals to vice-presidents of corporations because I am good at what I do, not because I am female, minority, etc. But because I am me.
Do some comments from men offend me, yes. But, you must press on with confidence in yourself without letting them know it gets to you.
