TWEs will be sent this week

Unfortunately I also learned that my DS will be one of the candidates that will be receiving the dreaded TWE. The good news is that he was awarded a AFROTC scholarship on Friday.

DS got TWE'd today. Looking at Embry Riddle Prescott. Anyone have experience there? Side note: The application experience was educational and enjoyable and will be good memories with pride to make it this far. The disappointment will fade into determination!
 
I suspect that many of our kids can only see themselves in a certain service, and I get that. To each his/her own. One of my points though is that these are just kids, and as above the bar as they are in terms of maturity compared to other kids their age, they still may see things differently in a year, two, three or ten. Time and experience has a tendancy to change the vision of your future; perhaps not with everyone, but with many.

My daughter is currently at ERAU Prescott. Their AFROTC is one of the highest rated in the nation currently.

Same for DD...AFA or University. If she had not received an appointment, it would have been off to "normal" college.

Who here have not received appointments and have yet to get TWEs? I'm in this boat and every minute that goes by is painful.

Our DD has not yet...She did however get a msg from admissions that she needs to hold off until "20 April" because the boards have not met for Prep/Falcon.

I was told my admissions that i was reviewed for prep but no decision has been made.. So still waiting
 
Why did some letters say hold till review for prep, then others said that wouldn't be an option?
 
How is the information from admission being received regarding prep/falcon consideration? Do you contact them to ask about the candidates status and then you receive the info? I haven't noticed posts saying letters went out telling candidates they are being considered.

Happily still waiting here.

My son said a few times while he was contemplating which Academy would best that he hoped he only was accepted to one so he wouldn't have to choose. Let God pick...... Actually, he wanted USMA, but had periods where each of the others seemed best for one reason or another. There was no time where he would have been disappointed with any of the academies being his only option though.
 
Any news today on portal updates? Any insider information?

DD was contemplating getting a tattoo (we had the control until she turned 18). I suggested to her to run it past her admissions councilor. They spoke for quite a while and then through email. One of the emails stated that TWEs would be going out this week but that DD needed to be patient until 20th April and finalized with I just wanted to also let DD know she had received her waiver if DD was unaware (this happened last month).
