Hello Everyone, I wanted to come here to ask about this,

I got an email saying that I was accepted to the Naval Academy, my application process is all done and everything, is this true?

The email reads:

"Dear #########,
I am pleased to offer you an appointment to the United States Naval Academy as a member of the Class of 2022. You should take pride in having successfully competed with outstanding young people from across the nation for admission into this historic institution. Acceptance of this appointment will be your first step on a challenging voyage of discovery that will afford you a world-class four year degree and commission as an officer and leader in the United States Navy or Marine Corps. "

I also went on the CIS and it said that my status is "Fully Qualified Offer of Appointment".

Is this really true? I'm 3Q already, and already have the Presidential Nomination. Just making sure this isn't fake or anything, thanks for the input.

Congratulations. It certainly sounds like an appointment. The Presidential nom sort of clinches it. You wouldn't have the appointment without it.

Thank you very much again. I now look forward to working on keeping in great shape to go there. And applying to other colleges just in case all that stuff. Curious, I had submitted Nomination request packages to other Senators and Congressman, what do I do with those now?

Assuming you intend to accept your appointment to USNA, I would wait until the actual certificate arrives (which should be in a couple of weeks via snail mail) and then contact the SA coordinators for each MOC letting them know that you have received an appointment that you intend to accept and therefore want to withdraw your nom packets. Obviously, if you're still interested in USMA, USAFA or USMMA, you should continue with the process.

Good afternoon. I have already accepted the appointment, so now I am waiting for the certificate and I will thence withdraw the packets. Thank you again.

Congratulations! I see from the appointment thread that you are from California! Our DD is Class of 2021 and we are from the Bay Area. You should be very proud of this accomplishment! You have an amazing adventure ahead of you!

Do continue with other college applications in case of injury. If you are, god forbid, injured... it could allow you to continue your studies while healing and reapplying. Hopefully it never becomes an issue but that's what insurance is all about.

You're in kid! Go Navy Beat Army!

1. You will need to accept the appointment.
2. Wrap yourself in bubble wrap. (no injuries before I-day) My son went wake boarding 4 weeks before I-day and tweaked his back. It turned out ok but gave us a scare.
3. Stay out of trouble. Senior friends can make some bad choices. Stay away from that type of stuff.
4. Do some plan B college applications in case something screwy happens (reference #s 2 and 3 above). It will be amazing how much easier and quicker they are to complete than an S.A. application.
5. Spend good quality time with those you care about. You will really miss them when July gets here.

Thank you again xD I will make sure to keep plan B's in check and as well as my fitness/health and grades for the Academy. I will also make sure to spend lots of time with those I care about. Thank you for all the help and motivation.
