From what I understand from others, the green 100% circle gets replaced with a picture of an envelope or link when there is a decision. My portal doesn’t have a blue box that says “view your decision” is this the application page?

Looks terrifying@PhilaMan23, @jrpoint21 - The Portal will look like this with the Checklist still showing the Green Check.

For my DS the portal updated before he got an email. Then about 2-3 weeks later he got the nice binder with the offer of appointment in the mail.Does an email come first or not necessarily?
My sons looks just like this and the "decision" is just that they plan to send you off further to admissions. Its not the decision you have been waiting for... at least in my sons case.@PhilaMan23, @jrpoint21 - The Portal will look like this with the Checklist still showing the Green Check.

Congratulations! Based on an initial review of your academic and extracurricular record, the Office of Admissions believes you have the potential to be a successful cadet at the United States Air Force Academy.
In order to complete our assessment of your entire record and determine if you meet the remaining admissions standards, we are asking you to submit all your remaining admissions requirements by November 1, 2023.
Once your file is complete and you have satisfactorily met all of the Admission requirements, I plan to move your file forward in our Admissions process. You may go to your online candidate portal or call your admissions counseling team to determine which requirements still need to be completed.
If you have not already done so, I urge you to apply for a nomination from all sources for which you are eligible. Information on nominating sources can be found in your “Instructions to Candidates” booklet. If you have any questions, please contact your admissions counseling team.
XXXXX, I am excited about your desire to attend the United States Air Force Academy. I wish you the best of luck in your quest to become a cadet at the United States Air Force Academy and an officer in the United States Air or Space Force.
At first my DS portal had the envelope, and it was an LOA. Then after he got his nomination, the envelope disappeared for about a week or two and then the second envelope appeared, looked just like the first one, but this one had the appointment. I think at this point they probably are not sending LOE's or LOA's and the envelope should be an appointment. I could be wrong on that.My sons looks just like this and the "decision" is just that they plan to send you off further to admissions. Its not the decision you have been waiting for... at least in my sons case.

exactly, still not the best choice of words "Your Decision is Ready".That is an LOE not LOA
On these forums people have been saying that their LOI would go away and revert back to the 100% with the green circle and then a few days later will go back to the golden envelope with an appointment. I wouldn't bet on it and they could've changed that error on the portal because people would know of an appointment before the congressman can notify them.Sorry to beat a dead (or dying) horse, but if there is already an LOE "Your Decision Is Ready" icon on the portal, will that icon disappear and a new one appear? Also, will all the green checks disappear when the new icon appears?
I know I know this is not a healthy obsession, but just want to make sure......
That’s what I keep hearing too. Prayers for some appointments!!@PhilaMan23 I think they are about to do a huge push the first week of March.
I just noticed your name come up again, this time on USNA! The trifecta! Congrats to you!yeah, was a surprise. I got email from my congress rep about usma then a hour later, i got another email about usafa. Now just waiting for usna.
yes, more than 1/10 will probably get an appt depending on your district. My son received a nomination from our Congressman and there was an awards ceremony recently for a nominees. During the ceremony it was announced and celebrated that one had received their appointment to USAFA (of course it was not him). Our Congressman also eluded to the fact that other appointments may/will be coming in the future. Is this correct? We were under the impression that only one of the nominee's would receive an appointment. There is still no communication from USAFA as to whether he was excepted or declined. Is this normal and should we still have our hopes up?
