USAFA Waiting Page C/O 2028

On this date last year, there were 75 appointments that had been listed. This year there are 79. Last year's list ended up with 131 appointments, which was significantly fewer than there had been for at least three years before that. Before last year, the typical list ended up with around 190 appointments. So last year's participation in the appointment thread was way, way down (by like 30%) from prior years.

This is a long-winded way of saying that there are likely many more appointments to go; but whether fewer than half are left or comfortably more than half are left is an unknown, at least based on recent historical patterns of posting appointments.
 
Is anyone else's portal down again? It went up and now it doesn't work for me anymore.
 
Also, I got some interesting info from my ALO. I asked him if he knew anything about the magical mid-march date in which historically people received appointments en masse, and he said "I can confirm that appointment letters didn't really get sent out till the second week of April this past year, so no sure who informed their applicants of acceptance on March 14, unless it was someone who was of outstanding quality or was recruited to play on a team". Idk who to believe, my ALO or the statistics from this forum lol.

The mid march date is from the previous year's thread. Also note that 2, only 2 people posted appt in April.

Sorry to clarify, thats what the ALO said. I told him that that was from last years thread, and he said that he wasn't too sure about it

I understand, I in no way shape or form, am calling your ALO a liar. But I would never call 50+ doolies who got their appt in march liars either.

Maybe your ALO spoke only of his/her respective area/region that sent out appointments in April and not the majority of the USAFA pool? 🤔

Exactly what I was thinking, I don't understand why my ALO thinks that when there is solid evidence suggesting otherwise
