USAFA Waiting Page C/O 2028

Anyone know was this the big wave for mid March? Didn’t seem like a ton of appointments.
Anyone who received an appointment on or after March 13th didn't have their portal update until today, so I'm counting those appointments. That would equal 20 today.

Also, keep in mind that not every candidate is on this forum and the data is inconsistent.

What if this is it? What if all the appointments are done? I am losing hope for my DS. Yes there Is a Plan B and C but really hoping for this one.

Anyone know how I could get in contact with the Academy to sign up for a tour? I live in the NE and would like to try and fly out.
There will be appointee visits in April. There will be an invitation sent. Look at the threads for Appointee Visits in this forum for more info. You could also do a regular admissions tour by signing up through USAFAs admissions page.

Thank you, I’ll look forward to that!

For those that had a LOI disappear. How many days was it before the portal updated with an appointment or rejection? Mine just disappeared.
Mine disappeared on Tuesday March 12th. I did not hear anything until my portal updated yesterday Wednesday March 20th.

So my son got a conditional appointment. Letter in hand. He just cleared DoDMERB. So what’s next in the process?

Have not received an appointment yet. I know at least 6 of my friends from my state have all been offered appointments. Is there a chance I will still get one? I am 3Q'd with two nominations.

Yes, it's still possible. It depends on the size of your state and other factors beyond your control. Until you get an official rejection, you're still in the running.

I had emailed admissions and they were happily able to describe the appointment process. I also asked when do we know for sure if we were accepted or rejected. They said that on “the 20th of April we send out the non-select letters.” This was from team Blue.

When you say it depends on the size of your state, do you mean a more populous state (CA, FL, NY) takes longer to push appts out?

In case anyone was wondering, according to team blue, between the last week of Feb and the first week of March, they have selections for appointments. Then the candidates that were selected go to the board for approval, the board reviews 300-400 selectees at each board meeting that takes place once a week. 7-10 days later after the board, the appointee will receive an appointment letter, and the process goes onto April with non-select letters going out on the 20th of April. Hope this helps anyone confused about the entire process timeline.

However, some candidates have received non-select notices already, correct?

Any idea as to when current enlisted airmen might hear back? Not sure if that was addressed in the timeline process.

Does this mean there is still a chance of admission up until early April if you are from those populous states even for those without LOI? I am not sure if USAFA sends out LOI to every qualified candidate. Trying to see if we should move on already.
