Where is your district? Maybe yours hasn't come also. They did say somewhere that we will know Feb 26 - March 1

KY-04. I have not seen any from KY, so maybe. You're from Cali, so it makes sense for the delay. I'm at least close to W.P. in that manner.

Ya lets hope. The only thing im worried about is that the status of my portal has not changed
 
California is a very competitive state, also BFE's may not have reached there. (What district are you in?)[/QUOTE]

I'm in the TX-28 district. I received an official letter from USMA earlier confirming that my BFE would be among those in the first wave mailed out, and I haven't received mine yet. I know mine is coming, but there's still nothing like receiving the real deal.

I live in the southern tip of Texas and the distance from here to NY is less than those from California. Wait until tomorrow. People in San Antonio are already getting their BFEs and I live four hours south of that city, yet have not received mine. I imagine its in transit somewhere. Y'alls probably are, too.
 
Yeah, I'm with you guys. I live in California (District 04), have a congressional and senatorial nomination, and haven't had any change on my portal yet.

But everyone stay optimistic - there's still plenty of spots left! Maybe one of them is just waiting for you. :redface:

Also, PJay, has your portal updated to show your acceptance yet?

How did West Point send you a letter telling you that you got a BFE? was it in the mail or email. Also does your portal show you got accepted
 
Not all of the congressional offers have been made - a bunch of them were though. Some candidates that are likely to win are not 3Q yet. Of those, some may not be (medical is a big hold up for many candidates) and the next candidate that is 3Q is still waiting.

What to expect next if you are a 3Q with a nomination from a MOC: some of you will get an offer for one of the national spots likely within the next week or so. If you are in a competitive district/state, this could be your future. You may not have won the district, but are highly competitive. This is the next "wave".

Some candidates could end up with the second offer if the first candidate declines or are further down in the national standing. Since the offers have a 45 day required response, that should happen sometime before mid April. These will be on a district by district basis so don't expect a "wave", but rather a weekly push after admissions meets. In the past, these were usually done/sent on Tuesdays and arriving on Friday/Saturdays. Of course, if you are in south Texas, it could take a bit longer than say New Jersey.

The last wave will be USMAPS. There are usually about 200 of them that gain admission in the late spring. So with the 500ish offers that went out last week, plus the others earlier in the year, there are somewhere less than 400 spots left in the class. 100 are for presidential candidates, maybe 100 for unresolved congressional vacancies, ROTC, and sons/daughters of disabled vets. That leaves about 200 for national spots.

Unfortunately, there are always 3Q candidates that are not selected. Around 50% by last years numbers. Many of them went off to college and are among those who have been offered this year. So much can happen between now and R-Day. Offers go out all the way till the end, so stay ready.

Contact your FFR if you have questions. If they can't answer them, I'm sure they'll refer you to your RC.

West Point sent me a letter through regular mail. My portal does NOT show that I've got an official correspondence.

However I had a letter of assurance because I was accepted to the class of 2016 but could not attend due to circumstances out of my control.
 
Everyone needs to relax, so I am here to help. Read and obey my every command... breathe deeply...I am going to count down from 5 and when I reach 1 you will be in a state of utter calm...5...4...3, breathe in...and out...2...1...


Seriously though, just relax, some mail is delayed by snow, some offers will be in the second, third, or even fourth wave from the admission folks. Try reading a good book, I suggest the Three Musketeers. It should take up at least one night of hypervenilation.
 
Damn. If there are only 400 offers left to be made for 2017 then that does not look good for me.

Daaltaraan, haha, that was actually helpful...we have finals this week and all I can think about is West Point! My dad tells me I have senioritis and I said no, just West Point-itis!! All's quiet still in IN-05...no portal change or BFE to speak of. Stay strong! I'm sure West Point Admissions is really busy right now trying to get notifications out.

Got the BFE yesterday in the mail, my congressman called me sunday. :thumb:
