Someone else's timeline may or may not be relevant to your son's timeline. Most offers come in March and April, with a few trickling through in May and even June. Best to get off the pins and needles and enjoy time with your son while you can. Good luck.

Yes, the data is from prior year threads like this one. There are a number of caveats - particularly that we do not catch all appointments here at SAF. For the big 3 SA, others here at SAF estimate 10% of the appointments get posted here. For CGA and USMMA, that figure is closer to 25% in my guesstimation because many of forum posters are applying to all 5 and the entering class size is so much smaller that is just kind of works out that way. The second major consideration is that class composition for USMMA specifically is less dependent on balanced state representation. MOC are not allocated 5 students at any given time like the big 3 -- mathematically they simply can't because every class is under 300 students. To balance it to some degree and spread things around, see my thread on USMMA Slot Allocation by State. The chart above shows a 1 April cutover to where if there are open allocations, USMMA is no longer beholden to the "chart" and can begin working down their National Wait List until the class is filled. There is a lot of movement near the 1 May date as appointees are making final selections between potentially multiple service academy appointments and other traditional school options. Someone with 3 appointments can only select 1, so that potentially vacates a slot for someone else on the NWL.

As for having the info on prior years - I do, but it is not currently in table form (yet). I will see what I can do to help.

I sure could use you for my current cis181 class. The online platform for excel stinks. You would be a great teacher if only in person!!!! Love the charts.

Hi Soccer-Rules. My son had everything completed and entered into his portal prior to beginning his Senator and Congressional interviews so this time period was mid-fall. "Everything" included passing his DoDMERB exam, his completion of the CFA, and all of the academic requirements. I don't remember the exact date but I do recall that the Senate and Congressional panels had all items in their possession that the Academy requires for admission because my son said the panels asked him questions regarding some of these requirements. I believe his first Senatorial interviews began the first part of November and the Congressional ones followed after those two (we live in NJ). The seventh semester transcript was sent in sometime mid-January once he had his grades, and he was informed of his offer of admission on January 25th. We began the long process back in the summer. Happy to speak offline if that would be of some benefit to you. We also respectfully but somewhat persistently kept an open line of communication with the Soccer coaches and his admissions officer throughout the process to avoid missing something that left no wiggle room for recovery.

If your DD has already received an appointment, she will not be receiving an LOA, or letter of assurance. An LOA assures a candidate that he or she will receive an appointment if certain conditions are met. Since your DD already has her appointment in hand, there are no conditions, thus no LOA. Congratulations and welcome to the Kings Point family.
 
Thanks for the information. I have to say my son was rather pessimistic about the possibility of attending until the soccer coach reminded him that he needed to finish his application. So we are behind the curve a bit. Just finished the DoDMERBs exams yesterday. So we will see. Congratulations, maybe we will get to meet at a soccer game in the coming years.

Quick question: Do any of your areas have volunteers that help with admissions? I had assumed my application was tossed since my CFA was marked as a fail, but upon inspecting my portal yesterday I realized that my CFA was changed to pass. I was then contacted by someone from my area to talk about my application. He said that he was going to inquire about the failed CFA but that it was changed anyways (he assumed data entry error)

He then proceeded to talk to me for close to an hour talking about my numbers being good and that I should expect to hear something no later than mid-March. Is this normal?

Yes. I was quite surprised to see that my local volunteer was from the next town over. He was very helpful throughout the process.
