Congratulations. What sport @LKNBrawley has your son been recruited for?
This is probably the most frequently asked question on SAF, and also the meaningless... Don't waste your time thinking about when Admissions might update your portal. It could be any day of the week, including weekends. I get that everybody is anxious, but its a long time until April 15, and I can guarantee that nobody has been harmed because they discovered their portal has been updated the day before they looked. For those you out there who have already received a decision (LOA or acceptance), what day of the week did it show up in the portal? I remember reading somewhere that decisions go out mostly on Fridays. However, it's totally possible this pattern doesn't actually exist.

That's wonderful!Rugby
Happened to me. 48 hours later appointment appeared. Early congrats to your DS!DS said his portal status went from saying "Conditional Offer - LOA" back to " Complete - pending review". Seeing the listed LOA go away is a little unnerving. Is that a good or bad thing? I can think of it as the conditions of LOA were met and his file is getting one last review. This happen to others?
in the same boat as well. Praying for good news on both our partsDS said his portal status went from saying "Conditional Offer - LOA" back to " Complete - pending review". You mean the currently ranked #1 Rugby team in the nation Rugby team, don’t you?Rugby
Yes! He is looking forward to playing for Coach Hickie! You mean the currently ranked #1 Rugby team in the nation Rugby team, don’t you?
My son is on the team. Loves the coaches and camaraderie..Yes! He is looking forward to playing for Coach Hickie!
Woke up this morning and it was back to CPR...sure glad I didn't call/email admissions over this!I wouldn’t put too much stock in what the status is every moment or hour. This is a fluid situation and admissions is dealing with more than we can imagine every day. As hard as it is, hang in there.
And even though applicants would love to get results to applications now, bear in mind these admissions folks are human, too. They also deserve to experience the holidays.
Take deep breaths, tend to what you can, respond quickly to any requests for information and spend quality time with family and friends. No matter the outcome that time is fleeting.
Hi! That's great! Yes, we are aware of the Dodmerb issues but I think his got in way before that happened for us is been already 3 months wait!! He is an alternate for the NROTC scholarship and will be used for Citadel or VMI as his plan C as well. So, we just try to enjoy ourselves and try to have the best memories before he goes! Time will go fast! Yes, we are anxiously awaiting an appointment as well! Merry ChristmasHowdy from TexasMy DD’s journey sounds similar to your sons. Her first nomination just post to her portal today, she all attended Summer Seminar where she was awardees the Outstanding Candidate Award. We are anxiously awaiting an appointment. However, we called USNA and they were having issues with the Dodmerb portal. So her medical is still not showing complete. Hoping it doesn’t further delay the process. In the meantime she was just awarded the NROTC Scholarship and will use that at A&M as her plan C.
Yes! Thank you! He already has acceptance for his plans B and C and just awaiting an appointment to change gears. Right now just trying to enjoy family and make memories before he departs soon! Happy HolidaysHonest to goodness it is a really long waiting game. We constantly reminded our DD that God had a plan for her even if we did not know it. We are both civilian and had know idea how hard the process would be. Each step she took grew her as a person and it was the best process ever. Our district did not hear till the week of April 15th. We also reminded her the odds regularly, by the time you come to the CPR with Noms stage there are no bad candidates. I worried more than she did... She executed back up plans, applied for scholarships, ran a charity event and did homework. Remind him it is his senior year... it is only once.
This is great to see your son has rock-solid alternate plans. It’s also nice to see the focus on family time.Yes! Thank you!
