The format for appointment entries here (see Post #1) calls for the date of appointment offer after the SAF name and whether is is self or someone else reporting. LOA is one of the optional bits of info s poster can add to their entry if desired.

I got the LOA a while ago, and the appointment somewhere around the weekend of Oct. 23rd. I got a letter about an update on October 20th, but there was nothing new in my portal, and I didn't check again until the 23rd. I assume it updated sometime over that weekend, so I put the 23rd since that is when I saw it.

I noticed that some people listed the LOA last year and so I added it. I can take it out if it's confusing.

No need to remove it. Once the basics are in place, add what you wish.

Last year people would put which state they were form. It was good to see for all of us who were biting our nails waiting for an appointment.

Appointment posters are free to share as much or as little additional info as they choose, as suits them. For those who share their source of nom is service-related, state does not matter. Even those who might have s Representative or Senator nom, their appointment might not be charged there, but to another nom source USNA controls.

It is, of course, interesting to see.
