USNA Class of 2028 Waiting and Speculating

On the topic of MOC nomination how about ROTC and JROTC nomination are those also allowed to be late or do they have to come in before the deadline?

I hate how long it takes for them to send decision for the applicants like me who aren't EXTREMELY qualified, its so nerve wracking that although i have a principle nomination, given my standardized test scores ill probably have to wait until one of the last days before i get my decision.
Any word CJP? Any other principal noms waiting to hear from USNA? My DS has a principal nom from Senator. His status has been CPR followed by Pending since early Nov. He was notified of the principal nom by the Senator on 11/21, then it showed up in the portal on 12/8. Since then he also received competitive noms from our other Senator & Congressman. No word from USNA yet.

Patiently waiting for DS to get the good news.... USNA has moved quickly on everything (medical request, waiver request, waiver review) every time he provided a piece of information. Medical waiver granted Sunday...... All other items are in order and checked off. I will be a Positive Polly and believe the final offer of appointment will also come quickly!

No word back, but i have been in close contact with my admissions counselor

Just got a nomination from my Senator, which was the last thing I needed to fulfill my LOA and it's already in my portal :)
Is it too early to update the appointment list?

Jokes aside I would like to thank this community. Everyone has been such an amazing help these past 9 months. A year ago today I wasn't even considering a SA but that all changed in late March when I got an invite to apply from WP in the mail which encouraged me to apply to SLE and create an admissions file. My mom was about to throw that letter out writing it off as usual college spam mail but she kept it for me to see because "I saw the US flag on it and thought it was something important). It certainly was something important and changed the trajectory of my future. Still can't believe I'm going to be attending USNA, thank you again, everyone!

I hope to pay it forward by making some YT videos regarding my application journey!

During son’s cycle he was clear of DoDMERB, CFA in October. He received principal nom and two other noms to USNA. He received appointment 15 January.

My guess is admissions is juggling the nomination slates.

Hard to be patient but necessary.

Had my own little mini sea trials today. Power went out around 9:30 and my basement flooded. Family and I spent 3 hours carrying buckets of water upstairs and dumping it outside. Power finally came back on at 12:45. We’re all exhausted and my mom kept telling me “this is Plebe Winter”. Safely put, it has been an absolute emotional and physical rollercoaster these past 9 hours. I’m going to sleep like a baby.

Sounds like an awesome bonding moment. One you will experience many times over the next four years.

I woke to no water due to freeze but no flood. I’m sorry you all had the broken pipe situation.

As soon as you are offered the appointment, leap into the appointment thread to update. Nice to see!

Thanks for sharing your son’s timeline. I’ll take a deep breath and continue to help DS shore up plan B & C. We got thru the FAFSA today, here’s to hoping we don’t need it!

I ordered my transcript to my admission officer's email the Wednesday before Christmas, and obviously there was a good amount of leave, but at what point should I email to see if it got lost somewhere along the way?
I’m in the same boat, my first semester grades are the only thing missing from my application and I sent it the same time as you as well.

I got this resolved. USNA had put my transcript in my file, but never updated my portal with a check. I emailed saying I wanted to confirm they received it, and they responded saying they had it on file. I uploaded my Personal Statement and my app changed to Pending without a check on college transcript.1704916069836.png

This is the exact same thing as mine. Emailed USNA and they said they have my transcript on file and currently reviewing it. Still no check box on “college transcript” submission. Application currently shown as pending.

My portal never showed the requirement box for my college transcript. But I had it sent to my regional coordinator and they said that they received it and uploaded it to my file, so everything should be good. I think as long as you have written confirmation that your transcript has been recieved you're alright.
