Why was the application so short?

It basically only asked for my name and a few activities I do. Do they look at the actual file when giving noms?

The SAs evaluate and select these with no direct involvement by VP staff. They can see your entire application, including other essays, teacher rivals, letters of recommendations, scores, etc.

When it talks about letters of recommendation for the VP nominations, are those the SOE's that the SAs already have on file along with all your other documents, or do you need to send separate letters of recommendations to the SAs just for the VP nom?

There is no need to do anything else for the VP nom, except fill out the online form.

All evaluation is done through the standard application process and the SA's simply use VP nominations as extra nominations for candidates they want to appoint that don't have a nomination, or as an aid in juggling how appointments are charged.

Siri once again snuck in and disagreed with me about using “evals,” and decided “teacher rivals” made more sense. Just now she tried “evils,” but I caught her. 🙄

Who knew the piano man played accordion? Cool number! Definitely a working man's song.
