My DS received a scholarship to Cornell. SAT was 1520. Application was submitted around September 16. You have to check the portal. They do not send an e-mail.When did your son apply and if you don't mind me asking was his sat over 1300 , I keep hearing how they have increased their expectations for the sat scores. Very nervous mom, lol. Was his portal changed or did he receive an e-mail? And Congtatulations!!! So happy for you and your son.

After a board meets if you are awarded a scholarship from that board your portal will change. If not you will keep going on each board until you either get a scholarship or they tell you no. It could be as late as April until you get notification of either. Good luck!Hello all,
I was just curious because I finished and submitted mine by late September. I was wondering when I will receive notification? From what I see on this forum, it is a bit of both. How is the process handled? Any answers are appreciated, thank you.
No worries, the waiting is the worst. My daughter last year knew how the process worked but still emailed cadet command (Army) after the second board met and her portal did not change, and they promptly confirmed she did not get a scholarship. All the wait was worth it when she was notified after the third board, I am hoping you get the same good news in the future. Make sure to have plans B, C, etc in place! Good luck to you!Thank you. I feel like my coordinator told me this a month or two ago over the phone, but I just could not remember it.
Thanks for the good wishes. His application was completed on September 19. His SAT was 1460. He received an email from his NROTC Scholarship Coordinator and his portal was changed shortly thereafter. Tried to read back and hope this hasn't already been asked but wanted to verify that the Nursing Board for scholarships doesn't happen until later?
Thanks
NavyJax is correct. There are only two Nursing Option boards and two Marine Option boards. They are totally separate from the Navy boards.
Does anyone know when the next board meets for NROTC?
