I have no clue how many applicants got turned down. As to my knowledge there are around 10 Jewish cadets here currently. Yes, religion is on the application.

Please show us if you can where religion is a required question on the application.
It would be highly dangerous for any government agency in the US to require answering a religion question and especially bad for the USAFA in view of their past history in this area.

Totally agree. There's no "Free Trip" to Israel for Jewish cadets. There may be some accommodations for religious events and such; but it will be consistent among ALL religious beliefs and faiths.

And in all the years I worked with applicants, I don't remember 1 time where an applicant's religion was even mentioned on an application. Unless the candidate themselves mentioned some extra curricular, leadership, etc. they had involving their church. But nothing in the application.

And while we're at it. Your parents having attended the academy does NOT GUARANTEE you an appointment. So please; don't say "Guaranteed". If you're truly a C3C at the academy, then you KNOW that nothing is guaranteed when it comes to the military.

I think the “free trip” may be referring to the Birthright trip, which is something I don’t really know a lot other than that my cousins did it. From what I’ve heard it’s an opportunity to go to Israel that is free for anyone who is Jewish. So if that is the free trip, then USAFA is not involved in paying for it.
