If a SA REALLY wants you, but somehow you fail to find a nominator OR your nomination slots are all filled, they can pull one out of thin air for you. I think like 40/1,100 cadets are appointed this way, which is 3.6% of cadets in the incoming class.

You have been on SAF for less than 30 days and have started +/- 10 or so threads. Several of those threads have asked questions regarding issues that have been discussed time and time again on SAF, or have answers on the particular SA's Admissions webpage.

If you haven’t yet read every page, drop down and hamburger menu and link at USMA.edu, your primary source, I highly recommend it. Most answers are there.

That is where you should start, along with then searching here on SAF and also by using a Google search with "Service Academy Forums" and your question after that.
