What should I expect for the PMS interview? What questions should I ask the PMS?

One curveball question DS was asked... “What is your spirit animal?”

There are tons of threads here regarding interviews, just hit the search tab. Honestly, the common thread among the posts is that there is no pat answer. It will be unique to you and the interviewer.

If you’ve ever been to a recruiters office and talked with them for like an hour that’s alot what the interview will be like. I was never asked any hard questions just talked about his program and he asked about my family and what I do outside of school. You know just the usual stuff. I was super nervous going in for the interview but realized I had nothing to worry about once I got there.

1 Ask them about their (personal) experience with their branch
2. Ask about their unit branching and accessions
3. Ask them if they were a part of an ROTC unit in college
4. Especially, if your interview is with a PMS of a school you are looking for, ask about how their cadets have performed at BC/AC and their accessions toward NG/AR and AD
5. Ask about the current GPA of most cadets and what majors most cadets have along with graduation rates.
6. Find out about how many cadets are on scholarship or not and if they have separate battalion scholarships and if the school offers Room and board.

i'm sure these may be generic, but can give you a head start brainstorming other questions you may have.

i suggest asking the PMS what the schedule is like such as what time and days are PT, labs, and MS class. This is important because you'll need to plan all ur college classes and extracurriculars around this schedule.

I have an interview this Wednesday. Thanks.

My DD interviewed in July so it's hard for me to remember all the questions that she told me the PMS asked her.

The ones I remember:
1) Why do you want to become an Army officer?
2) There was a question about how do you organize all your commitments, duties, responsibilities, due-outs, homework, sports practice, etc... during the week.
3) Why ROTC? This is where you don't need to hide the fact you want to go to an SA as your first choice (if true). The PMS should know most of the kids who apply for an ROTC scholarship are probably applying to an SA too.
4) Are you willing to join the Army even if you don't get a scholarship?
5) My DD wasn't prepared for this one... What makes you stand out from the other applicants?
6) Where else did you apply? See #3 above.
7) Why do you think you should get an Army scholarship?

I hit my head too many times while jumping (actually, the landing part) out of perfectly good airplanes. I can't remember any more than I've listed above.
