When will I receive my appointment?

Hi everyone,
Today I received a congratulatory call from my MOC and she told me that I was accepted to USAFA.
However, I checked my portal and there are no updates.
Has anyone had a similar experience? If so, how long did it take for your portal to be updated?
I want to see my appointment for myself before I get emotionally invested in this.

It should be there in a few days because it takes time for the portal to update.

I completely understand your reaction. Our DS got the call while I was away from the house. When I returned and he told me, I must admit I had a hard time believing it was true. I wanted to see the proof, too! Anyway, to answer your question, it took 4 days before it showed up on our portal. Anyway, congratulations!!!

The academy gives 72 hours for MOC to make a notification. After that time your portal will change and they will mail the BFE

Congratulations! It took DS's portal about a week to update. Don't forget to have someone video you as you open the link. Priceless memories!!

Last March DS' phone rang while he was shaving after shower. [Pipes shower music via Bluetooth so always has it in bathroom.] Almost let it go to VM but saw 'Washington DC' caller ID; it was Senator Peters calling to congratulate on his USAFA appointment. Can't recall how long it took for portal to update but I think the 72 hour rule is pretty solid.

One slight downer - USMA send a very nice leather bound folio with your appointment certificate; USAFA apparently does not unless/until you accept.
THAT makes a nicer picture than staring at the portal webpage [But of course we also saved a screenshot ]

They are all different - SAs give the option as a courtesy to nominators. MOC did not call for USMA appointment; saw a cryptic portal update that night and received the BFE next day.

Got a call from my MOC office on Friday, they said they received my appointment last week on Wednesday, still haven't had my portal update but I'm excited as ever to accept the appointment!
