    AFROTC 2015 Enrollment Allocations

I loved being a CTA - He'll enjoy Camp Shelby, although I liked Maxwell better ;-)

AFROTC Chances: Pima can you please reply??

I've been able to see this program for the past 4 years and can tell you that although you are a very competitive candidate, no one can give you a definite answer on whether or not you'll be selected for a scholarship or SFT. (Summer Field Training - Allows you to becoming a POC if you...

EA selection rate and the 5 year plan

In the past at our DET they've made them repeat just 2nd semester and apply for an EA .

    AFROTC EA due date

For those who did not get an EA and still want to serve here is what I'd suggest. This is my opinion only. Assuming AS500 isn't an option OR switching to another ROTC. Finish your degree, assuming it'll take another 2-3 years and try again for OCS / OTS. Although our military is cutting...

    EA selection percentage prediction

True, but there are many other roads that one can go down to become an officer in the military.

    EA selection percentage prediction

EA's % will be low. My guess is 60% overall selection if we're lucky.

This is also what my Det has been told as of today.

    Credit Hours for ROTC Students

This is so true - Keep in mind that doing poorly in the beginning will make it harder to raise your GPA up. Personally, I goofed my first couple semesters before I took school seriously and I'm still paying for it as a senior. It is extremely hard to raise my GPA now after having a large...

    AFROTC EA due date

You should have done all of your medical stuff already - if not your cadre will let you know. The only two thinsg that has been done previously in our Det before leaving for SFT is a bag drag and PFA to ensure we were still physically fit to go. Goodluck to everyone :thumb:

Dealing with the heat and humidity at SFT

Last year laundry situation went as followed: You do your own laundry at Maxwell if you had time. Camp Shelby it was contracted out and was done for you. Also, make sure you are always hydrating while at SFT. That is the key to beating the heat.

    AFROTC EA due date

It is impossible to know when EAs will drop. There are a lot of issues the AF is trying to iron out before giving a final answer on how many officers they will need in FY16. The last thing you would want is for them to give too many slots and then have to cut a bunch after giving them out. Last...

Rated boards meet long before you even apply for a non rated job.

    Parents Struggling with Advice

Some of those questions are hard to answer because they change so much every year. There are so many variables that are put into whether or not you get a scholarship especially with current budget cuts. I'll try to answer those questions to the best of my ability, but keep in mind I'm a cadet...

    Parents Struggling with Advice

Yes there is a possibility to gain a scholarship while in your first year of AFROTC. The scholarships are limited due to budget cuts and VERY competitive. In most cases, scholarships are given to cadets who have technical majors with high GPA's and outstanding ACT, SAT scores.
