It's my understanding that phone calls usually go to principal nominees. For my DS, he got snail mail on one, email on another and then just a pop up on the portal for the third.
Maybe in your district.

The reality is that most districts don't "do" principal nominations but it seems that many/most do call or otherwise reach out to their nominees.

Does this mean SC uses a principal nomination? Otherwise it would make no sense to be nominated twice by the same MOC for the same SA. A similar situation was brought up on an old thread and it turned out to be an administrative error.

DD was nominated by our congressman in mid December and a Senator in early January even though she was told they collaborate and double nominations are not given. One called and sent a letter, the other just showed up in the portal with no other communication.

The waiting is brutal!!

Good luck to your DD! I assume you are also in SC. Hopefully they will hear some good news soon :)
Y'all, I didn't even know that was a thing! lol. But it sounds like a really good sign. Congrats! DS got one from each in SC. And we finally saw movement in medical ("under waiver review"). A lot to celebrate in these crazy times.

So, my son got a letter from Sen. Van Hollen congratulating him on the USAFA nomination he received from our MOC (Sarbanes). Kinda weird. Basically, no nomination from the Senator as he received one from the MOC.

BUT ....... that means another no nom for the USNA from another source. It is appearing at this point that the interviews for the Senators he did were only for the USAFA, and because he got a nom for it from the MOC, that they are going to spread the wealth somewhere else. It does not appear that the senators considered him for more than one nomination location.

That means his LOA to the USNA is going to be in limbo without any nomination source. He did apply for a VP, but those are like hitting the lottery. I told him that until he gets a TWE from USNA, that he is still in the mix, but don't bet on anything. Hopefully something comes through, or even better, he gets into the USAFA (his first choice anyway). Or maybe there will be a NAPS or USAFAPS offer available.

Meanwhile, he's working on his 3/4/5 choices with regular schools and scholarship opportunities.

@IronmanDaremo Keep up the belief and I hope your DS gets the good news from USNA and USAFA! An LOA is incredibly impressive and that is an accomplishment that your DS should be proud of. Hopefully, USNA will "find" a nomination for your son, you never know what will happen.
