Fragrant. Git ‘er done and you too can get a nice beverage, chair and activity of your choice.Dang. My day will be spent repairing a loose sewer tank drain pipe on the R-Pod. Not fair.

The more I look at those photos, I’m thinking that would be my last meal request.Oh my.

Debating on beverage.Me too.
My go-to with chocolate is a stout, but one can't really go wrong with an oaky bourbon, good rum, or shiraz. The more I look at those photos, I’m thinking that would be my last meal request.
I would need a nice Pinot in the wings for this meal. And someone to help me eat it!Yes, I’ve just posted this same photo over in the current Fried Chicken Sandwich thread, but I wanted to ensure this photo from the Yardbirds restaurant review was properly enshrined here in the Bacon thread to preserve the glory of that dark chocolate multi-layer cake topped with, yes, yes, yes bacon.

I was thinking a red that could stand up to the spice In the chicken coating and smoothly transition to chocolate and bacon. Hanzell Pinot Noir if we can find any. Could also be a great SAF conference dinner, but we’d have to add in a smokin’ and grillin’ section. The beverage menu would be eye-watering expansive. Of course, as an ice-breaker, there would be bacon-based passed appetizers and a cocktail-making contest going on.My go-to with chocolate is a stout, but one can't really go wrong with an oaky bourbon, good rum, or shiraz.
For a minute I thought Mr. Mullen was hanging out on the Bacon thread.
I clicked on the smiley face thingy and all the selections popped up. This is a whole new world for me.For a minute I thought Mr. Mullen was hanging out on the Bacon thread.
Give the “spoiler” function a try. Invisible writing! The icon is a little mask-looking thing buried in a dot menu.I clicked on the smiley face thingy and all the selections popped up. This is a whole new world for me.
Very exciting.

The bacon grease saved the dish.So tonight I marinated lamb chops in herbed yogurt, lemon zest, lemon juice and olive oil. Grilled in cast iron with my trusty bacon grease and let rest.
I made handmade fresh fettuccini and tossed in a creamy garlic and basil and Parmesan regianno sauce. A nice Pinot to keep me company. View attachment 9546View attachment 9547
Wow. Even I could make that!I have been all day.
I wanted bacon.
I had a beautiful ripe ‘lope.
So I made this. Added green salad and some aged Gouda on the side.
Bacon Cantaloupe Soup
Here me out… This is for all the chilled soup lovers out there! I live on chilled soups in August. After all, I live in Texas! It’s 100 degrees outside and I refuse to turn on my oven when it’s that hot. My favorite chilled soups are Chilled Cucumber Soup, Chilled Cantaloupe Soup, and Gazpacho. …therosetable.com
