Important matters concerning the existence of Humanity - BACON

Smoosh an ice cube into the top of each burger, and then grill.
 
Today's leftovers were from yesterday's meal from the grill. Bone-in pork ribs and corn. DW fixed what she calls cowboy beans. It's homemade baked beans with bacon and lots of secret mumbo-jumbo. Plus, she conjured up potato salad like momma used to make. If that ain't enough we garnished it with buttered King's Hawaiian rolls. yum yum
 
DH had to treat himself to a Pit Boss. Seasoned the griddle with bacon of course. Then did corn on the cob in the husks, a tomahawk ribeye, and some bakers. Also, a traditional southern cornbread in the cast iron on the oven side of the grill. Turned out amazing.
 
When DS was home for six days, I butterflied a pork loin in two sections. One stuffed with sautéed spinach, mushroom, shallot and garlic. The other with sausage, apple, onion and garlic. Both rolled and rubbed with mustard then wrapped in a bacon weave I put DS in charge of. Smoked and served with @Capt MJ potato salad and cocktails.
Delish. I nailed it.

Your potato salad got rave reviews. First time doing bacon lattice. Felt like math. Good thing my MIDN was home to tackle that!!!
 
I had bacon and eggs for breakfast with tater tots and a couple of cups of Cafe Bustelo espresso.
I am still sipping the coffee at 0925 and I haven't done a darned thing worthwhile yet.

I was up at 0530 to walk and feed the dogs, and prep the garage for the pressure—washing guy we had hired to do the garage floor and do a takeaway run to the landfill with garage clean-out stuff. Just wrapped the job, took out a half-pound of Wright’s bacon from the freezer to thaw, because I’m planning the penne rigate with fresh tomatoes from my patio tubs, fresh basil, garlic, the bacon and a bit of cream for dinner, the “my-Italian-landlord’s wife’s recipe” version. Now headed for screened porch chaise with peach iced tea and a Wilbur Smith book.
