Um, with you on concept, who are the peers in this situation? I had a ridiculous mental flash of scholarly chickens deliberating in a mendacious manner. I think it’s beyond the time for my medicinal glass of vegan grape beverage.

As usual, the Captain has hit upon the very crux of the problem: who qualifies as peers?

Much serious contemplation is now required. The suggestion of medicinal spirits was well advised.
 
Popeye's chicken nuggets are good, too. That's all I'll say. They are NOT a chicken sandwich and not all that crunchy, but good nevertheless.
 
Okay, but if you try it, it has to be without the sauce or the jalapeños. For the Science!
 
Yesterday students in my mid-day class came in off the bus and a girl dropped a Chick-fil-A drink holder in the waste basket next to my desk. It had three CFA sauce packages. I said, whoa, wait, what are you doing? Oh, did you want them? she replied.

I told her of the CFA sauce shortage over the summer and the need to plan for future shortages and to try and erase the image of me trash diving for food.

@DevilDoc Let me know if you ever have a CFA sauce shortage. I have an inside connection. DS loves his job at Chik Fil A. In fact he’s working the late shift after he finishes the SAT today. DW and I worry, half jokingly, that DS will end up not getting into University and will be an assistant manger at Chick-fil-A and go to community college. And love it. The kid loves working at Chick-fil-A! He even checked to make sure that all three of the universities to which he is applying to have Chick-fil-A’s on campus. They do.

A guy I served with in the AF...long story short, he now is the GM of two Chick-fil-A's...

He takes home just short of $700k a year.
(he showed me his books as he was trying to convince me to let him sponsor me in the competition to get a job, I chose to teach high school instead, seemed like way too much work!)
 
I am curious to see how long before they try to make DS a shift leader or assistant mgr or something. I really don’t want him working too many hours. He has too many other time commitments. The one thing I love is that he never has to work on Sundays. A nice break to worship or just catch up on school work or to do some PT.
 
For those who live in mid west ( particularly Ok, KS, TX) Braum’s has a new chick spicy sandwich. My DS who is a picky eater and loved CFA, switched his loyalties swiftly..
 
On a related note.... last year we decided to get a Popeye's turkey. It was frozen just like you get one in the grocery. I believe that it was already cooked. It was probably the best Thanksgiving turkey I have had in my life and everyone else agreed. Crazy!
