2027 State Nominations Thread

Has anyone seen nominations from Colorado Senators Bennet and/or Hickenlooper? Results were supposed to be released early January, I but haven't seen anything yet?

Yes, Bennet came out on the 18th. Check your spam folder, email with my boys nom came from his nomination Coordinator ~ Ms. Oatman-Gardner

Also, know of a boy from Springs that got one that day as well

Thanks! Interesting, I talked to Ms. Oatman on the 19th and she said they wouldn't be sent out until the 23rd. Nothing in spam folder either.

DS received letter yesterday that he didn’t get nomination from Senator Van Hollen. The letter states that he had over 300 applications. It also didn’t mention that he didn’t give him one because he got one from another source, so assuming no nom from Senator Cardin. It sounds like his academy quest may be all but over (but prep school sure would be awesome!). It’s tough being local to USNA.

Did you apply for a congressional district nom? I know that Maryland congressmen and senators talk so that each candidate only gets one political office nomination, and I hear that Cardin nominations are notorious for taking a long time to hear back.

Speaking of which, has anyone heard from MD Senator Cardin?

Very (VERY) unfortunately he didn’t get it in on time. It was mostly done and almost ready to submit. He was finishing it up and had a football game that distracted him. Nobody’s fault but his. Either way, getting a nom in Maryland so hard. He would have had a better shot, though. Many in Maryland go to lacrosse players, so I hear.

Anyone have any info about the Washington senators? No updates so far but I’ve seen in years past they come out roughly this time. Just wondering if anyone got an email/letter/update in portal. 🙂

Same here. Got the letter from van hollen it was a no. I did get a nom from my congressman for USAFA but USNA was my first choice. Van hollen was my last option for USNA. IT IS very hard being local and I am honored to have gotten USAFA. I AM Colorado bound…

Did you hear from Cardin yet?

Does anyone know if the MD congressmen/senators do slate numbers, and how to find out? Rep. Hoyer didn't say anything in the decision letter
