I'm an incoming MIDN who is curious about how much I can expect my cadence pushup count, plank time, and 1.5 mile time to improve over PS (comparing the IPRT in to the PRT administered at the end of PS).

Former service academy grads, how important are memorizing your rates during PS? How often are you questioned, how are you questioned, and what does the punishment look like for not knowing them? Any other knowledge regarding rates would be great!

Within the Brigade, how does a midshipman earn a promotion? For example, will some 4C's outrank others? Or, do only 1C's have some of the ranks? Does the criteria begin to be measured during Plebe Summer?

I know that the USNA issues everything that will be needed, but I was wondering if there was anything at all that I am allowed to bring that would be useful to me. Also any tips for surviving plebe summer would be appreciated.

Does anyone know what the maximum weights are when you show up on I-Day? Do the detailers check? I'm aware they do at other SAs but wasn't sure at USNA. What happens if someone doesn't make weight, but is obviously (or not obviously) physically fit? Do they do a BMI or body fat % test or anything?
