2025 State Nominations Thread

I've heard a lot about Nominations from Toomey coming out. Has anyone received one from Casey?

I think that is all very normal for him to think that way, as it is for you.

No matter what it sounds like he (and you) put his best foot forward and he/you can't ask for anything more than that.
 
Has anyone had ANY nom show up in USNA portal??? DD’s presidential still not showing since August....

It took a while but my son’s MOC nom did show up the other day. Have your daughter check with admissions if you are concerned. August is a much longer wait than we had.

Not yet. DD has only heard from Toomey. She hasn't even heard from Lamb (MOC District 17) even though at least one person has heard from him. Will let the group know if we hear anything from Casey. Best of luck!

Oh I am not sure. Other threads also said if it was a MOC then it would have your district number next to it which mine didn't.
 
Hey all, just got a call from Senator Gillibrand's office and I received a nomination to USAFA, I'm ecstatic!

Has anyone heard from her office for the other academies? My buddy applied for navy and he hasn't got a call yet.

Meanwhile... in Ohio: DS has not heard from senators yet (although he was told that noms would be announced “sometime in January”).

He *did* receive a nom from our congressman to USNA!! YAY!!! Thrilled. Emotional. And Ecstatic would just begin to describe the vibe around here. :)

To answer an earlier question/ comment: He did not receive a call, email or snail mail letter from our congressman (as of yet). It just appeared on his USNA portal, dated 12/15. I had him log out and log back in a few times, just to double check that my eyes weren’t playing tricks on me.

That made me smile. DS checked his USNA portal obsessively just in case it disappeared. And for as many challenges that have been identified with the USNA portal this year, nominations have showed up on that portal faster than other SAs

We literally take screen shots of everything now. Not that it would help if things disappear but it makes us feel better 😂.

DS had a USNA nom from our district MOC (WA-02) show up in his portal on Friday and arrive by snail mail yesterday . The Presidential nom was verified received by AO months ago, but just showed up on his portal yesterday.
 
Sen. Gillibrand’s (NY) office called DD today to inform her she was receiving a nomination to USNA!!! My DD said she’s so proud to be receiving it from such a strong female senator. She now has 2 nominations for USNA and 3 for USMA...and her plan B includes a 4 year AROTC scholarship to top 3 schools, she received acceptance to top school this week! Best lead up to Christmas we could ask for!

Same I was told no by Senator Durbin and Duckworth. But I did receive a nomination from my congressman.
